![]() The continence center provides state-of-the-art equipment for diagnosis and treatment of bladder control problems including a Biofeedback Suite and fully computerized urodynamic equipment. The first appointment usually consists of a consultation with the doctor, a history workup and a physical exam. Following this, a majority of bladder control problems can be evaluated in a single day in the office with only local anesthesia. Most patients are relieved to learn that this does not require any hospitalization.
![]() ![]() Dr. Jay D. Burstein is a Board Certified Urologist specializing in bladder control problems (incontinence, interstitial cystitis and painful voiding syndromes).

![]() Incontinence is a medical problem that is often poorly addressed by patients. Many sufferers are too embarrassed to mention the subject of incontinence, and others consider urine loss a natural consequence of aging. Patients also remain unaware of the wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic options available for treatment of incontinence. A common thread for all patients is the desire to have their problems heard and actively evaluated and treated. Past surveys have shown that only 10% of women who have incontinence disorders seek medical attention for the problem. Clearly, there is a tremendous need for public education on the subject. DeKalb Clinic Continence Center is committed to the education and treatment of urinary incontinence. Call our staff for information or arrange an appointment at: 758.8671 ext.2284
